This site is actually more about the Brown/Brough family.  Both my late parents 
were related, albeit distantly, sharing the same G.G.G.G. grandparents, Solomon Brown 
and Sarah Brough.  Sarah Brough, in particlular, has an extensive recorded ancestry 
although there is also interesting information on the Capewell and Stafford families.

Deaths in battle, several medieval executions and, later, a deportation to Australia, 
two hangings in Stafford Gaol and an International Footballer in Stoke.  Noble or 
ignoble, no-one can claim that we are a dull lot!

My thanks must go to friends and members of my family whose memories of the Mellor / 
Brown / Boon families filled many gaps in my own endeavours.  Also thanks to the 
Richard Brough Family Organization for their database which extended my own work 
beyond comprehension.
